Day 1
Munnar

Munnar-ThumbUpon arrival in Cochin International Airport/Railway Station you will be welcomed by your Lifeline Holidays representative and we will commence the journey toward Munnar, a hill station located 1600 meters above sea level. Munnar was once a summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India and is famous for its scenic tea gardens and spice plantations, most of which are privately owned. Munnar also encompasses the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Eravikullam National Park and Kurinjimala Sanctuary all of which are wildlife havens. Once you check into the Hotel, you have the rest of the day to experience the wildlife delights of Munnar. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2
Munnar

Eravikulam National Park Today we proceed to Eravikkulam National park at Rajamalai where you will have the rare opportunity to see the rare Nilgiri Thar. En route, we will visit some of the main attractions of Munnar such as Echo point, Photo point, and the rose garden and other such interesting places. You will of course be able to enjoy nature in all its glory along your ride. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 3
Thekkady

Thekkady Periyar Tiger ReserveThis morning we leave for Thekkady. Thekkady boasts one of the largest tiger reserves of south India, where you may spot the elusive tigers and more likely elephants, wild boars, and a large variety of birds. Visit the nearby tea and spice estates and enjoy an evening of shopping. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 4
Thekkady

Thekkady Boat CruiseEnjoy a boat cruises in the Periyar lake and experience the wilderness. Watch the local martial arts, Kalaripayattu, and enjoy a Kathakalli dance show. Go on an elephant ride, bamboo rafting, and jeep safari, and enjoy an ayurvedic massage. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 5
Kumarakom

Bird Sanctuary Today we drive through the villages of Kumarakom which is a cluster of little islands on the vembanad lake. This small water world is part of Kuttanad region and is home to a Bird Sanctuary which is the favourite haunt of migratory birds, and an ornithologists’ paradise. You will be able to avail of the fishing facilities. An evening of rest and relaxation at the hotel followed by breakfast in the morning.

Day 6
Cochin

Chinese Fishing NetToday we proceed to Cochin. Known as the Spice coast of India, Cochin, over the centuries has attracted traders and invaders from all over the world. After checking into the hotel, enjoy a day of sightseeing in Fort Cochin, a small town which has St Francis church, the oldest Church in India, the chinese fishing nets, a 16th century Jew synagogue, and the Mattacherry Dutch Palace. Shop for antiques at Jew town. Enjoy a walk in Marine drive. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 7
Wayanad

Wayanad-Tree-HouseThis morning we proceed toward Wayanad, the land of pepper and paddy fields. Famous for its natural beauty, tribal population, its beautiful rivers and mountain, Wayanad is a dream for tourists. Enjoy a relaxed evening in the hotel followed by breakfast in the morning.

Wayanad

Wayanad Soochipara Waterfalls Today, enjoy a day of sightseeing in Lakkidi, the gateway to Wayanad. Visit pazhassiraja Museum and art gallery, the beautiful Pookkot lake, the glorious Soochipara waterfalls. Enjoy the splendid flora and fauna of kuruvadeep and experience the magic of the Edakkal caves. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 9
Calicut

Calicut-Beypore Today we drive down the Ghats to the foot hills situated in Calicut, the ‘city of spices’. It was in Calicut, the great voyager Vasco da Gama arrived in the 14th century in his quest for spices thus putting it on the world map. After checking in at the hotel, visit Beypore, the ancient port town of Calicut. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 10
Calicut

Airport-Railway-ThumbOn the final day after breakfast, you will check of the hotel and our representative will drop you at Calicut International airport/Railway station so you can proceed on your return journey with fond memories of Kerala experienced via Lifeline Holidays.
